Women in the Masculine World

Women are not a usual sight in the material handling industry especially decades ago when the industry is considered a masculine world where most, if not all, employees are men. But with the increase in the number of women conquering the business world and other industries that used to employ only men, it is not surprising that there will come a time that women too will be involved in the material handling industry which may include businesses involved in the manufacturing, designing, building, distribution and installation of conveyors, feeders, labeling systems and more.

More and more women are getting interested to leave the comfort of their own homes and get involved in the world that used to be run by their fathers and forefathers. The traditional belief that women are only born to run the household and tend to the children is becoming a thing of the past as women become knowledgeable of other things beside home economics. Knitting needles have been replaced with textbooks, brooms with pens, and aprons with corporate attire.

Some women nowadays even hold significant positions in big companies while others have their own businesses. Not only in the business and professional world have many women immerged victorious but in the world of politics as well.
